Our Actual Tested Top Speed

To get a real sense of its topspeed capability, we tested a 2002 CR85 with minimal aftermarket parts on a closed course. Riding conditions were level ground, medium-firm track, experienced 165 lb rider, 1/8 tank of fuel. Our recorded top speed was 72 mph/116 kph indicated on the speedometer, likely close to its true stock potential.
